Larian Studios Unveil a New Divinity, Declaring it Their Biggest RPG Yet
The buzz surrounding The Game Awards reached a fever pitch, notably after host Geoff Keighley shared a mysterious image of a desert monolith. The secret has now been solved. The acclaimed developer is working on a completely new Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was presented with a daring trailer featuring memorable imagery, from a figure engulfed in flames to scenes of revelry and the literal descent into chaos.
A Different Direction
Anyone expecting Divinity Original Sin 3, that is not happening. The studio clarified that a third Original Sin game to its critically acclaimed RPGs is not on the cards right now.
That said, the developer referred to this new Divinity as a evolution of the main series. This distinction suggests that the team could be building a more action-oriented experience rather than another tactical title. Currently, it remains theory, as only a teaser video is available.
