I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
